Lonely Conglomerateurs in Maui
Hosting a small, family-friendly retreat in Maui for at-scale holdco operators—the rare role with its own set of headaches and almost no peer support.
Hi friend,
I'm hosting an event for lonely conglomerateurs (yes, that's a word, and if you ever want to get punched in the face, introduce yourself as one).
There are plenty of support groups for executives and CEOs, but almost nothing for people who run holding companies. It's a weird, rare role with its own set of headaches: perverse incentives, compensation negotiations, reporting nightmares, you name it.
Back in May, I ran the first version of this in Vancouver. We had a small group representing hundreds of companies and many billions in revenue. We spent 3 days swapping war stories in a super confidential format, and everyone walked away buzzing.
Now we're doing it again. This one's in Maui, January 5-8, at my favorite resort. It'll be small (under 30 people), family-friendly (bring yours if you want), and we've got some incredible guest speakers lined up.
We're still working out the details, but if you run an at-scale holdco ($25M+ in revenue, at least three businesses, serial acquirer type) and you'd like to join, email monica@follypartners.com with:
- A quick bio (if you have one)
- Link to your site
- How many companies you own
- Total revenue (range is fine)
- Where you're based
We'll be curating a tight group, so spots are limited.
More details available here.
Hope to see you in Maui,
-Andrew
